Terms of Service

Effective May 25, 2026

These Terms of Service, together with the End-User License Agreement they contain (the “Terms”), govern your use of keybridge, a menu-bar utility for macOS. By downloading, installing, or using keybridge, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download or use the app.

1. Acceptance of these terms

keybridge is provided by Zachary Amith, an individual developer (“the Developer,” “I,” or “me”). It is distributed through the Apple Mac App Store and runs on macOS 14 or later. By installing or using keybridge, you (“you” or “the user”) accept these Terms and confirm that you are able to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using keybridge on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. License grant

keybridge is licensed, not sold, to you. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and with Apple’s usage rules described below, the Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use one copy of keybridge as a single user, on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in the manner permitted by the Mac App Store and Apple’s usage rules.

You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, sublicense, decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of keybridge, except to the limited extent expressly permitted by applicable law or by Apple’s usage rules. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by the Developer.

3. Relationship to Apple’s standard EULA

Because keybridge is distributed through the Mac App Store, your license is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple LEUA”), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms are intended to supplement, not replace, the Apple LEUA. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Apple LEUA, the Apple LEUA governs with respect to your license to use keybridge.

You acknowledge that the agreement to these Terms is between you and the Developer only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for keybridge or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for keybridge, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right (and are deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use keybridge only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are solely responsible for the secrets, credentials, and other text you choose to store with keybridge. You agree not to use keybridge to store, capture, or access credentials belonging to other people or organizations without proper authorization. You are responsible for keeping your device, your macOS user account, and your Apple Keychain secure.

5. Your data and backups

keybridge saves the text you capture into your Apple Keychain on your own device (and, if you have iCloud Keychain enabled and choose to sync, across your devices). Your secrets are stored by the operating system, not by the Developer; the Developer does not have access to them.

Because your secrets live in your Keychain and not on any server controlled by the Developer, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any important credentials. Treat keybridge as a convenience tool, not as your only copy of a critical key. If a credential matters, keep an independent backup of it.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

keybridge is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

The Developer does not warrant that keybridge will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements. You use keybridge at your own discretion and risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for any lost, corrupted, inaccessible, or unrecoverable secrets or data, nor for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) keybridge — even if the Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

keybridge is a free indie utility. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, the Developer’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to keybridge will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app (which may be zero) or a nominal amount permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

8. Price and updates

keybridge is currently distributed through the Mac App Store. Pricing, availability, and the features offered may change over time at the Developer’s discretion. Updates may be released to add, modify, or remove features, and these Terms apply to any updates unless an update is accompanied by separate terms.

9. Termination

Your license under these Terms remains in effect until terminated. The license terminates automatically if you fail to comply with these Terms. You may end the license at any time by ceasing to use keybridge and deleting it from your devices. Upon termination, the provisions concerning your data and backups, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law survive.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Developer’s place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local mandatory consumer-protection laws grant you additional rights that cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have that, under applicable law, cannot be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

The Developer may update these Terms from time to time. When that happens, the revised Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of keybridge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
